Administer, maintain, and support Unix/Linux operating systems, networks, and software applications.

Perform system installation, configuration, and integration of hardware, operating systems, and COTS software.

Manage system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.

Conduct system performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization to maintain operational efficiency.

Implement and maintain security configurations, access controls, and vulnerability management in accordance with DoD and company standards.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Manage system resources, user accounts, file systems, and library structures.
-
Support and enforce network security policies, including the use of firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Stay current on emerging cyber threats, attack methods, and detection tools to ensure proactive defense.

Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix and/or Linux system administration of networks and software systems.

Hands-on experience in:

Software and security management

Hardware installation and configuration

Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Network administration using protocols such as TCP/IP

Experience with major network security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability assessment tools.

Knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation/detection methods.

Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification requirements (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent).
-
Must possess an active T5 investigation (Top Secret eligibility or higher).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
